Hi all
Apparently kingfishers use perches other than those put out by photographers! Who'd have thought!!

Hi Simon,
Now, THIS is a nice photo of a kingfisher. I like the flow of the pearches that goes in the same direction as birds look, and colour contrast is very good as well.
Cheers,
Marko

Wow....who'd have thought it!
Lol
Cracking picture with good use of the ivy to frame the bird. Only thing I'd changes the crop, about 1cm off the top and rhs and it would be bang on for me
You might like to check the colour balance though as the greens look slightly yellow/luminous to me (probably I'm just used to cooler northern greens )

Sorry Simon can't find any nits, the Kingfisher looks spot on and I do like the way that the foliage almost frames the bird, great looking image.

Perhaps a tad bright and over saturated on my MAC screen, but otherwise a real cracker

Cracking image Simon! Some nice space around the bird for a title too
