I am planning a trip to Colorado the first week of Oct. and plan on doing some trail and some off trail hiking and photography. From what I have been able do determine, there will be no big game hunting in season that week. During other fall trips, a large number of people I meet are hunters and I have felt a little uneasy about wandering around in the woods. I should probably find an orange vest or cap or something to wear. How do you all deal with this issue?
Thanks

Ken, I will be out there also the first week. It has never been an issue for me, but I have stayed pretty close to the road in most cases. I would take orange just in case.

When I am in New Mexico or Wyoming I always see more hunters and game wardens than photographers. No need to be nervous but I would wear red , Orange or yellow to be easy to see. You will also look better in a selfportrait than in something drab.
Actually the one color I would not wear is white as someone might mistake you for a whitetail or pronghorn.
