Brown Hare.
Nikon D4
Nikon 300ml 2.8
1/640@f6.3
iso1000.
This Hare like prickly food rather than the new shoots of sweet corn on a game strip ,some of the farmers around these parts say that 3 Hares will consume the same amount of food as a Sheep so I hope that they stick to the prickly stuff
Thanks for looking and your comments on my last post.

Looks like it has been nibbling the corn shoots first, then on to the main course with the built in toothpicks. Thistles can be quite nutritious apparently. Excellent behavioural image, Keith.
Greetings Keith from far away lands. Your fieldcraft is paying off big time, allowing you to get so close, I will trade you some LO's for one of these. Nice PP too.

I guess thistles are likely to be nutritious, that is probably why they needed the prickles in the first place. I agree with Steve that your fieldcraft is really paying dividends.
