D7000 500mm f4 ISO 320 1/400s at f8 handheld using knees as a support.
Another day spent with the hares who were particulary skittish probably due to the grouse season being underway. After a few fruitless hours I came across this handsome hare who allowed a close approach. I managed to get some shots of it stretching which has been on my list of images to get. I had the 500mm and I was a little too close and no time to shuffle back so had to make do with this frame filler so no more room I am afraid. I love the pelage on this hare, lovely colour, and I think the change to a white coat has begun. I have cloned out a piece of grass which was across its tail and hindleg.
Many thanks for the comments on my last post, greatly appreciated and all comments on this post very welcome as always.

Nick you can keep filling the frame if they look like this, very nice indeed Keith.

Thanks fellas. Next on the list is to get shots of them in blizzard conditions. Bring on the snow!
