I've got my eyes on you! (c)
Image taken on: Fri Aug 2, 2013 15:18
Focal length: 600 mm
Shutter speed: 1/500 sec
Aperture: f/4
ISO speed: 800
White-balance: Auto
Flash: No
Camera make: NIKON CORPORATION
Camera model: D600
Exposure mode: Aperture priority
Exposure compensation: 0 EV
Metering mode: Centre Weighted Average

The last one from my visit to the Barn Owl Centre. The Eagle owl was coming straight towards me, and I have heightened the effect of the eyes by making the whole picture darker, and making a panoramic crop. Imagine being a squirrel and seeing that coming towards you in the twilight!

Best viewed large for maximum effect.

I love it. no nits. Of course, the eyes have it (sorry, I just had to say it before anyone else did). Walk back and forth looking at the image-the eyes follow you (enough of that silly stuff). Thanks for allowing us to view this remarkable photo.

A belter David and a slow enough shutter speed to get some movement in the wings yet keep the eyes sharp
