"Beautiful " Banded Demoiselle+ repost
Male. Finally managed to get one in mid wing flashing or display.
For some strange reasonI seem to be getting better resuk=lts on macro with the 70-300mm with a tube than with the 150 sigma macro. Maybe its the VR making the difference.
Big crop
D7100
Nikor 70-300mm
500ISO
400th sec @f13
Levels Paint Shop Pro
CZM
Sharpening and contrast down 1 in camera.

Absolutely right Ian. I meant "beautiful" as in pretty as a bit of fun actually. I'll change the title
Well spotted

DOF well handled here JR and you caught the wing flick perfectly. Only get Beautiful Dems up here and they are my nemesis for getting a decent shot.

I am sure it is the VR making the difference from the 150mm Sigma, if you were able to use a monopod with the 150mm I suspect the quality would be more comparable.

Saw one at Dunham Massey a few weeks back. None around here though. :frown:
I agree with David re the Sigma 150 mm lens.

Smart Demoiselle John  I wonder if you could tone down the big dark patch behind it?
