Hi all,
Went to the Oregon Coast for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised by all the photo opportunities. Here's one of the sea stacks and star fish with a longer exposure.
Very nice photo. What are the specs? Where on the Oregon coast? You are certainly correct about the many photo opportunities. You should visit the Washington coast which has as many, but with much different scenery, especially the farther north you travel (although I am very partial to the SW coast area, especially the Long Beach peninsula).

Very nice Dena, the light and longer exposure really did you some favors in this one. Loved my time on the Oregon coast too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks gents. Ooh, adding the Washington coast to my (never ending) list of photo spots sounds promising! That was taken at Bandon at f/16, 15 secs. I shot longer exposures, but the clouds lost distinction, this was the compromise between the sea and the clouds. The next day I took longer exposures (the second one is at 51 seconds) but low tide was later and it was pretty bright.

Awesome place and the long exposures are really cool. I hoped you stayed through sunset and kept up that technique because the results would be fantastic!!
My one suggestion with these is to try converting to black and white. I think it was take it up from great shot to something even better-especially the first one.
