Fallow Deer Buck+ one extra
There always seems to be some sort of mystique surrounding white deer (White hart etc ... ) I hate 'em. There's always one or two in the herd in the forest here but this was has lasted longer than most. The white ones usually get poached or shot first. This one is about 10 years old. Shame about the deformed right antler.
Taken from my bedroom window recently. He usually has a Common barebuck with him. He spends a lot of time around the house in the meadows. Resting for the coming rut I suppose. We've got the deer seat up and salt licks out ready. These are wild deer often hounded by dogs etc so difficult to get near to usually.

Even though the right antler is deformed, I bet it could be a serious stabbing weapon in the rut!
Interesting image, John.

Difficult to get near to or not, you have done a fine job here and it is good to see one not taken in a deer park.

Must look ghostly in the gloom JR, nice shot of an unusual animal.

Thanks
Another from last night at about twenty to nine. The camera seems not too bad at 2500 ISO and the lens wide open. 15th sec hand held!
(Well resting on the window glass !! )The common buck which is usually with this one is a cracker but he's a lot more nervous. Something to work at I suppose.
Cheers
