It looks like Tom and I must have been to Colorado about the same time. This is in Rustler's Gulch near Crested Butte. I had always heard stories about the wildflowers here and expected the place to be packed, but I only saw six other people all day. I was probably about one or two weeks too late for the peak this year, but it looks like it was a good year.

And paradise found, Paradise Divide reflection pool. The Maroon Bells from the south side.

A wild place. This is the upper stretch of the Slate River. I hiked along the river bed here for a few miles. There was no trail and no footprints to be seen. I half expected to see a Grizzly Bear around each bend. It was a great trip in what is becoming my favorite part of Colorado. Thanks for looking.

Very nice set of images Ken. I'm feeling cooler just looking at these beauties.

Ken, looks like a wonderful trip. I especially like the top photo and all the triangles drawing me into the center of the image and up. Very nice color and composition.
