Lovely Keith, BKG really helps to separate the subject well, just need to get that focus point on the head Might just remove that white 'blob' in the soil RHS.
Big congratulations on getting IOTW in Avian, well done, well deserved, nice to see you get the regonition.

Nicely caught Keith as it is not an easy subject

Strange how it is always hard to get the focus point on the head - even if you have a spot focus point. I like the feeling of movement in this.

Yes, get rid of the white blob, as Stephen suggests, as it could be construed that the hare was caught in the act of

Agree with removal of white stone and focus. Try increasing the DOF Keith with say F5.6 or F6.3 to counteract the problem of getting the focus point on the head. As the Hare is side on the DOF should then also include the head( or more specifically the eye which should be sharp) as well as the body and the shutter speed should still be high enough to arrest motion at ISO 1000. My own prefernce would have been for a little more space for the hare to run into but it is still a very nice shot.
Thanks guys I should maybe stick to a more easy subject I must admit it his a bit hard to keep up with these when there at full throttle I have a few sitting still that I will post at a later date. Keith.
