Great to be back in the land of the living, safely moved down to Hampshire, and with full internet access. I had little time for photography while we were between houses, and apart from some garden birds had one visit to Gigrin Farm, and a day with Vince Jones at the Barn Owl Centre in Gloucester. Good to meet a number of other photographers there, including Jeroen Stel.

This eagle owl is from my visit to Vince, I have others with the full bird in, but rather like the impact of this one. Full frame, apart from a little chopped off the top.

It is good to be back on this site.

Hi David, nice capture and you certain/y were in good hands with Jeroen & Vince.

Nice sharpness & clarity in the large image which does the shot justice. I think David if you had it, then more image below, but having clipped wings is a personal no no for me, Perhaps a 16 x 9 crop as is, but loosing a fraction of the top?

Well done in getting this.

Hi David
The great dtail comes out much better in the biggie.
Can't decide on the clipped wings though . Good to see you up and running again.
