Looks a tiny bit dark on my computer but otherwise a classic LO and intense stare

Thanks Mike
Thats what i wanted to hear !!!! I,ve been playing with the Nvidia control panel and the monitor built in panel and got in a right mess. I think its best to stick to one or the other. The prints were coming out dark so now I have darkened the monitor so when I brighten it up a bit as you say- then it should be better.
Cheers

Actually, I quite like it like this. It is on the dark side, but then it is an owl and you would assume it to be taken under reasonably dark conditions. OK, I know little owls are active by day, but on the dark side still seems right for the species.

20 graduated bands in four groups of five, plus a solid black band in the centre on my screen.

Now I know they are there, yes. I hadn't noticed them before though. It may well be my monitor though, it has been through two moves since it was last calibrated.
John , I calibrated last week , I looked at it in PS and it needed to 15% + to see the diagonals.

Hi John. Classy LOWL this one. However as someone who spends untold hours with them I would like to see it a little brighter as for me they are quite bright at this time of the year
