lightning
I was almost asleep at midnight when I heard the first thunder. I almost didn't get up, but ended up chasing the storms for a couple of hours this morning before they passed out of range. The lightning show was great and worth the loss of sleep. This image is a combo of 11 30sec images over 6 minutes, merged with Floris van Breugel's star trail stacker script. A more "artistic" version can be seen in the photo art gallery.

Thanks everybody. I agree it was worth the loss of sleep just to watch the show, let alone capture pieces of it.
