For those of you that might be looking for new areas to explore, the newly acquired Devil's Eyebrow Natural Area now has an access road and parking area. Unfortunately, the Game and Fish Commission co-owns and manages the area with the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, so you can expect to see hunters during deer and turkey seasons. From the looks of the image gallery on the webpage linked above, there are many features that should find a lot of appeal to nature photographers. It is interesting to note that there are five globally rare plant species found here, along with the only known occurrence of black maple trees in Arkansas.
Yep, I was thinking that myself, Tom. Right now, the Beaver Lake WMA regs say that the area is closed to turkey hunting - hope that doesn't change. But it is open to deer, bear, and small game in the Fall.
