Recently was privileged to take trip on private boat from Seattle to Ketchikan. This photo was taken with Canon 40D; 1/40th at 9.0 through the window of the moving boat. The window and the slow shutter speed were not conducive to a sharp image, so I added some dry brush and a warming filter in Elements 6.
I like the painterly feel of this. Goes to show that judicious use of some filter effects can enhance an image. I might have framed a little higher to bring down the horizon and include a little more of the trees and a little less foreground.
