I have photographed the Smokies & Blue Ridge a lot in spring & fall. I would like to plan a summer trip when the rhododendron are in bloom along the Blue Ridge. What is your best guess as to when this peaks? Thanks for your help!

Kirk, I used to go every year up around Craggy Gardens around the first week in July and it always seemed to be past peak. From what I understand it is generally peak around this area mid to late June. But obviously there are many determining factors that can change this by a week or more. Check out this link here which gives approximate bloom times for everything that blooms along the parkway. Hope this helps. Blessings http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/v.php?pg=77
