Cedar Creek during Flood
Another archive mined shot from the very wet May of 2009. Technically not such a good shot but I really like the wave curling off the rock almost dead center in this image. The way that wave looks, the muddiness of the water, and the motion in the foilage all point to some violence in nature. Anyone who has been to this usually very soft and gentle creek can not help but see the potential for damage here...indeed I was imaging this flowing moving a school bus at a righ fast clip down the stream.

It is a good shot. Must have been a neat sight to see.

It tells a very powerful story and the colors are great.

Given the conditions and extreme flow shown here I'd say you picked a good spot to photograph from.

Bob-Have you tried this in b&w? Might be interesting to see.
I played around with it-increased the brightness and contrast.
Probably better with the orginal image.

Very nice, Bob. Like the composition and saturated color. Lots of water moving here...impressive!
