Fisheye Fun with Spring
I am a big fan of the fisheye lens. I find it to be a very fun lens to shoot. True it has somewhat of a gimmick quality to it but I find it my favorite way to do portraits, to really get in close, and do something different. I first got one when I went to Antelope Canyon, where I found the fisheye to be a fantastic way to photograph a slot canyon.

This spring I have made a few images with it and thought I'd put them all together in one post.

The traditional fisheye look but I thought it worked ok here.

Darren, great work, especially #3. It looks like you laid the camera down and pointed to the sky?

Yes, that is the technique. Trick is finding the right grass or flowers. Too often it is way too wide .

I may not be a fan of fisheye, but I really like #1 and #3. The pov is great.

The first one is beautiful, Darren...love the wispy sky and color.
