An Old Friend
I have been tied up teaching canoeing classes the past few weeks, but I have really enjoyed the great work that has been posted. It seems like old times around here with everyone posting and making comments. This makes us all better photographers. I did a quick check of the other forums and only RMNP has more posts over the past few weeks. So keep them coming, this is fun!

I did get out this morning and went to the closest waterfall to me, Natural Dam. Natural Dam has many moods and this morning was no exception. Fog and muted light made for some interesting photography. I have included two shots, let me know which one works for you?

Tom,

I really like #1. A much better perspective and the additional fog really adds to the scene in my opinion. Very nice work.

I have to go with #2, so it's a tie! I like the reflection as well as the falls.

#2 for me as well, Tom. I love the reflection.

Number 1 for me. Back to another tie.....

You are very right about the activity on the forum. I am glad to see folks posting and sharing their work!

Number 1 for me, I like the sense of power that the first gives.

Number 2 for me Tom. Love the highlight and shadow interplay, along with still-appearing water, and the moving water but still very calm feeling I get.

Tom I think #1 1 The light on the falls in the for ground 2 then there is the small rock in the stream that helps 3 the fog on the other side and laying low on the water 4 and the power of the fall in this shot all go together to make a good Photograph.

Hard to choose one over the other, but I tend to like the first one a little better. The light seems a little warmer, and the fog coming off the water is beautiful. Nice work, Tom.
