- - I just checked it out and it looks real nice.
I especially like the info sections you have for owls that even include sound tracks to hear.
Very well done.

Improvements???
I for one would NOT do a page full of listing all of your equipment. It just lets the wrong people know what all you have to steal. You really don't need to memtion more than what camera system you use and maybe up to what range. Equipment does not make the sale, the image does.
You may also want to do some spell checking, like on the bio page.
The only other thing I found was several links that either do not work, or that you don't have pages to yet.
I would never put in a sellection for a place to go UNTIL there is a place to go. Those text lines for the tips and the Camera Bag can always be added when they actually exist. What is the point of having a link to nowhere?

Other than that it's a very nice site. Who did it, you or a web design co.?

Thanks so much for the tips and I agree with you on the gear thing. I will be making the changes this weekend. I did all the web design myself, lots of work. Thanks again, I am greatful.

I also checked it out. Something that bothered me was inconsistency in look and feel from page to page, and section to section. The placement of navigation buttons, the fonts, etc., should look and work the same from one page or section to the next. That makes a site look very polished. The images are nice, though some load a little slow and appear to suffer from JPG compression. Nice look overall. Like Paul, I also noticed several broken links (like Gallery 5 for instance).

- - If you think designing a first web site is work, wait until you try redoing it, and trying to use as much as you can from the old pages, like I am doing now. Keeping everything sorted and relinking all of the new pages is a real nightmare. I am thinking of trashing it all and starting over with all blank pages and keeping only their layouts. First web sites are a REAL LEARNING experience!!!!

As for your page links, it is best to keep them the same on each page so that people will always know where to find them. Most people usually put them at the bottom, or on one side. I like the bottom best. Then you don't have to be bothered by them while you are going through the rest of the page.

I agree with Walter Rowe - the navigation links change fonts from page to page (I guess Times and Arial Black). Try checking your sites in a browser that does not have Arial as standard font.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help, I have changed the link fonts to be all the same and have moved the links so they all line up from page to page. It flows so much better now. I will keep working on it. I value the imput.

Hi Wade, web sites are a lot of work. I did my first site, and several times I was tempted to pick up my computer and throw it out a window. You've already got some good tips but I can add that in gallery 4, the hawk looks to me like a male Northern Harrier.

One more note, you have two hawk photos labeled as red tail hawks, when in fact they look to me like Swainson's hawks. Take care, dan
