What's your dream photo trip???
- - I thought I'd take a break from posting my opinions about things, and ask a question that I am sure everyone has an answer to.

- What would be your dream photo trip if you had the time and money to make it? - - - - Where, What, & Why?

- Maybe I should say "trips" since I could not pick just one myself.

I would love to be able to spend a month or more traveling down the Nile
and spend several days photographing at each temple and ruin along the way,
or/and
the same amount of time at the Aztec & Mayan ruins in the Yukatan,
or/and
as long as it would take to photograph every garden in Japan.
OR all of the above.
Actaully I guess that the last one would be my final pick.
To me the simplest of things are usually the most beautiful,
and there are few things as simple and beautiful as a Japanese garden.
I think the infrared shot I include here is a good example of that.

A photo workshop with Darwin Wigget  . Hopefully next year.

A Gordon-Tal photo workshop

There are many others here at NPN who I want to spend time and photograph with. That includes you as well, Paul.

For me, pretty much taking the rest of my life off to travel around and photograph hike and meet people, yeah, that sounds right, I've worked too much already.

My wife and I would love to spend a couple of weeks in Antarctica taking photos of penguins and icebergs. We'd camp out and use a sea kayak to paddle among icebergs. It would be just the two of us--no kids or company other than penguins. We would have to go in January or February because that's when Antarctica would be warmer than where we live.

I'd like to go to Madagascar, Namibia and Kenya. All the other places you mentioned would be nice also, of course.

I'm already on it and plan to be for as long as I live. The only thing I can dream about is to some day be rich enough so I don't have to break the trip every now and then to go to work.

Oooohh FUN question  My list is big!
I've spent some time in Africa & would LOVE to go back as the first time was more adventure travel & I wasn't a photo enthusiast then, but I DID get some fantastic pictures & now I would like to go for more cultural shots than just animals. Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia are high on my list of repeats & probably a few new countries that I didn't see while I was there.
I'd like to see Machu Pichu & the landscape of Peru!
I'd like to spend a long time travelling around small towns in Italy for color, culture & architechture!
I'd like to go to New Zealand & Oz & Papua New Guinea.
Utah is also high on my list as I have never seen any of it!
More time in the Canadian Rockies will be my most achievable trip.
A trip to the Canadian East Coast. More time at the wet west coast.
Like most of you, I wish I had the freedom to explore my own valley day in & day out. :jump:

My short list would be Gulf islands BC, Canadien Rockies, the Canadian eastcoast, New Zealand. It would be great if I could go to each place for months.
