This was made early in the morning on the first day of my Fall trip to Yosemite under a heavily overcast sky. This group of trees is located in El Capitan Meadow.

Looks great Preston. The color/sat and contrast all look good. I like the mix of trees, grasses in the meadow and the granite walls. I do wish for a bit more room up top, but that's minor.

Indeed a great and productive trip, now 2 months ago already! Looking forward to the next one.

Very nice, Preston, particularly the larger version. For me this all about color.

This turned out really well. It is a study in shades of yellow.

Very nice, Preston. It's nice to shoot under the huge softbox of overcast skies. Maybe a crop of the bottom to balance the fact that the tree top is near the edge.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Honestly, I don't remember why I set the top of the frame where I did, but with hindsight always being 20-20, I should have raised the front standard a bit.

Research continues...

I agree with others regarding a little more room on top, but still a great shot. I like the warm colors in the fg against the granite wall and trees.
