I really like it as-is Harley, but it also makes a dandy "panoramic" when you crop off roughly the top half. With that treatment the horizon really jumps out at you. Screen crop fiddling, but it points out the strength of your vision.

Sweet! Very cool Harley. Effective use of negative space, Excellent! What I appreciate too is how clean the file is - I mean the sky is flawless. Sometimes there are images posted where the sky just falls apart, I don't know why that is. Anyway, this is awesome.
It works, but I think it is more powerful with at least a partial crop of top of the sky. Nice capture of a dynamic moment.

I really like the smooth gradation of the sky and how the sharpness of the silhouetted hills is maintained right up to the the sun.
For me, the negative space would have been more effective without the streak of cloud. I embrace Hank's observation about the possibility of a panoramic crop, as the streak then seems more an integral part of the comp.

4 repliesI used a lot of negative space and was wondering if there is enough going on to keep your attention.
