This one is actually the first sheet of film I exposed during my recent trip to Yosemite. Fern Spring is located on the shaded side of the valley and so the light was very dim. Fortunately, the movement of the water was such that I was able to keep everything sharp. While I was waiting for Lon, I thought, 'Why not'.

For the print, I reduced the high values in the maple leaf at lower right (thanks for the suggestion, Harley). The proof print looks very nice.

Cropped to square and processed with the usual Photo Shop antics.

Beautiful little autumn scene, Preston. Not sure how they look in the print, but I might consider cloning out some or all of the reflective little hot spots throughout the image?

This image, with it's black background, is magical. I love these kinds of closeup and details.

Very nice scene and I like the contrast created by the black background.
