Foggy field and frost.
Hi,
this is my first post here and i wanted to share a photo i took last week on my way to work, i always have my camera with me every morning. It was around -6C and there was thick frost and fog in the fields near my home.
I tried to kept the feeling of that morning in my PP.
Taken with a Pentax K-01, Pentax-645 FA300mm/5.6, at f/11, tripod.

Hi Steeve - Beautiful image. You may want to post this in the Landscape or Man & Nature Gallery to get more visibility. I can't tell if the lines in the snow (upper right) were created by man (M&N) or natural (Landscape). Wonderful image none-the-less. Welcome to NPN.

You can still post this in either if you want but following the rules. Any hand of man, M&N. Purely natural, Landscape.

Well, you certainly succeeded in keeping that feeling. Wonderful image. The "transition line" where the frost/fog stops is just so cool (no pun). The frost itself is gorgeous. The light is delicious.

I think this scene offers even more good comps, in addition to the one you achieved. Getting a wide angle inches away from that tree could be interesting. And getting the wide angle low, right into that yummy frost. I hope that scene is available to you again.

I would love to see more. Thank you for posting this beauty.

Welcome to NPN Steeve, what a wonderful first post here! Regarding the image directly, I love the mood and atmosphere here and the subtle color is just beautiful - excellent processing for this to bring out that mood. Sure looks like a time in nature when one could go crazy with all the opportunities as Lance mentioned. And I'm sure you have others from this outing. At least for me, it's times like this were cold isn't a factor.

To add what Eva mentions, this scene to me is clearly a "hand of man" example. Nothing wrong with that of course, but important as to what gallery it's best suited for. The hand of man, HOM, here would be the cultivated fields; agriculture images most times will get moved to the Man & Nature Gallery, fyi.

Also and it sounds like you're already figuring this out, but in general there are two different types of forums here on NPN. There are the "Image Critique Galleries" which is where members post their images for sharing and critique. The other parts of the forum are the Discussion Galleries, like this one here, the "Landscape Photography" discussion forum. This is where folks are usually discussing some topic rather than reviewing an image. (Although often times an image may be posted for info or reference.)

But no worries, you'll get the hang of it real quick. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post a question to one of the discussion forums or feel free to email any of the moderators.

Welcome aboard!

Lon

Thank you all for the coments.
Hope to get another chance this week at fog or frost.
