A little after 7PM the was a 4.6 earthquake about 20 miles west of Portland, ME. My husband felt it on the 2nd floor of our home in NH as did my niece in Portland ME (also on the second floor) and my youngest son at UNH. Anyone else in the are feel it?

We're happy to share the quakes! Glad it was a little tiny one (probably didn't feel too tiny to YOU)
Seriously, there are fault lines throughout the US, and it's a misconceptiom to think California gets all the earthquakes. The last time I was in Ohio visiting relatives, there was a quake there and they were surpsised to see all the faults throughout the Midwest.

I did not feel it, but parents who live only 300 yards away noticed it. I live in Middleboro, MA.

I'm in the Hudson Valley and so was (alas) too far away, but I subscribe to a daily news feed from Rhode Island and it was mentioned that the quake was felt in Rhody too.

Living in northern NH, I felt it as well. I thought someone was coming up my steps heavily but then I realized they should have gotten to the top by now and figured that's what it was. And then it was confirmed pretty quickly.
