Fall Color Southern California
We do get some fall color here in Southern California. This is one of the creeks in the Santa Monica Mountains with colorful pepper trees, sycamores, vines, and a little touch of poison oak to bring the color palette of the chaparral to life. Who would think there was fall color in SoCal but there is and it's easy to find!

I know I haven't been around much in the forum. Proposed to my honey in glyder over the Mojave Desert and San Gabriel Mountains and I've been having some fun here's an interesting video I created with a GoPro in one of California's most challenging canyons. Although it looks like pure fun you could feel the gravity in your stomach and injury or death was only a slip away in Jump Canyon!!

Nice to see a post from you, stranger.

Yes, this is fall in California. Love your composition which really puts me in the scene.

Lots of colors here, Steve. There are numerous areas in the Santa Monica mountains that are gorgeous. There are also some, not many, aspen trees in a small grove at Fish Creek in the San Berdoo mountains too. In fact, the hike is very short off one of the designated dirt roads up there to that group.

Nice colors here Steve. It gives me hope. My wife and I will be moving to Southern California this month for work. I am really looking forward to seeing more of it.
