Hi all, I'm a RMNP member and I am planning a visit to Oregon and northern California for the first week in November. I would like to see the Redwoods and was told that there are numerous areas to see them. I would like either to have some fall color or fog when I photograph them. Is there one state park or area that has some of those elements over another. I won't have more than a day or two to photograph that area so I want to maximize my time by not having to hunt too much. Thanks ahead of time for your help. Blessings Deb

The ferns turn colors but it's too early for it now. I've also seen some pinks on the Eel River a little further south and lots at McArthur Burney State Park which is worth the drive but it's still too soon there Debbie. You've get higher up in elevation right now for fall color.

Debbie: Hope I'm not too late for you. I would suggest you drive south along US 101 to some of the wine country in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties near Ukiah and Healdsburg the first week of November. There you will find lots of fall color in the vines, and take the Avenue of the Giants off of 101 to see the Redwoods.
