We made a trip down to Madison, Wisconsin this past weekend. I was hoping for a little good color but the colors were very earth tones and muted. The best we saw was around the Baraboo, Wisconsin area. This is a shot from the top of Gibraltar Rock.
On the trip home we took highway 14 through Richland Center and Lacrosse There was almost no color in what is normally a beautiful area. We drove up along the Mississippi and it looked like there might be some good color in a week or so.

I like the light in this one. Nice view from the rock too. Hope you got to go back to see more fall colors along the Mississippi. That is a very under appreciated area that has some great scenery and color.
