Great Gray Owl invasion?

I have heard rumors, speculation, predictions and prayers (that was Sam Woods) for a massive Great Gray Owl year this winter from the birders. Any word among the photographers as to whether I should buy a ticket to Duluth from Ecuador?

When it happens, if it happens, will Christmas be too early for the big numbers?

I haven't heard anything about a possible irruption, but sure hope it's true!
Here is info about the last irruption, so hopefully, another is overdue.
