I'm visiting family in Huntersville for a couple of months. Do you happen to know of any good locations in this area for landscape or bird photography?
I'm hoping to get some bird shots and Fall colors in this area without the long drives we usually do to the usual place (BR parkway, Blowing Rock, etc.), if that's possible.

For landscape you might want to head over to Brevard NC area, particularlly Dupont State Forest and the area between Bevard and the BRP. That might be more driving than you want to do. I'm not familair with the Huntersville area.

I can offer you a camera boat and be your guide to the Rivers and Lakes in and around the Charlotte, NC area. I spend alot of time up there and know the area very well. I can get you to some great locations.
