Agora Gallery from NYC, has contacted me about representation. I find it a little strange sinced they are on the East Coast, and I am on the West Coast, and have not done any self promotion. They are talking about an annual fee for services/representation. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of, or dealt with them.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

Many of these galleries send out emails blasts with out addressing us by our first name. Anything that doesn't is junk mail.

Chris,

LOL! I also have been contacted by Angora Gallery, several times over the years. This is what s called a "vanity gallery." They charge you money for exhibiting for with them. They make their money from the artists, not from selling the artists work. As Sandy said do a search for pervious threads but also do a Google search, there is a lot on the web about them. I would not go near them.

I was also contacted by them twice recently and, after researching them, decided to also ignore their emails.

Ditto, first time three years ago, and ever since. Several threads about it, at least Chris!
