It is difficult to get the original lithium battery for EOSDXt here in Göttingen. I have seen offers on net from 3 Euro to 20 Euro. All are off-brand. Have you used off brand akku for the camera? HOw do they work? I'm quite happy with the original canon battery and need one as a backup.

Its nice to have a back up, but I have shot over 1000 picsa day with my nikon battery and I would guess that your canon battery will do the same, so I would stick with the canon as a back up, you don't save that much with a cheap imitation, I would take the time and order the original..Sure like the picture you post...wish I could upload some of mine, one day

I am a member, just don't know the steps to post, glad your getting the canon battery, I know the Nikon battery for my D2X was a bit to justify,but I am not sorry, all it takes is a weekend sports event , and not being able to recharge, it sure is nice to have an extra..again great images
