Shhhhh... don't tell anyone. LOL. Anyway, from my previous post about being selected for "Art of the State: PA 2012" at the State Museum of Pennsylvania... one of only 120 works of art from the entire Commonwealth, "Hatchery Road".
I received the Rose Roy Award for Volunteerism, very special. I made it onto the stage in front of a standing-room only crowd of about 1,000 people without falling!!
And I got to pose with and joke with PA's First Lady, Mrs. Corbett.
Then I got a phone call on the way home, and after many compliments and some "oooohs and ahhhhs", I've also sold the photo.
What a great evening, one I'll never forget. Here are just a few photos...
Finally, me alongside the Hatchery Road photo, along with Bryan McKee who represented the family that chooses the award I won, and donates the $$. He is also purchasing the photos for his home. Hopefully more sales to come, as there was much interest.
Incredible, incredible artwork throughout the exhibit.
