Good evening. My girlfriend & I are going to be in the Fort Lauderdale area May 24 - June 1. Does any one have suggestions on where to go to see wildlife, birds, gators, etc in the wild to photograph?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU.

Rich, its a bit north of Fort LAuderdale but the Wakodahatchee Wetlands has everything you are looking for. Its actually a water treatment facility turned fresh water marsh with great boardwalks. Easy to shoot, lots ob birds, gators, and lots should be nesting now too. Had nesting Least Bitterns last visit.

Reed, thank you very much. A friend of mine who is Luke Ormand and posts his pictures on the site just told me about the location too. We are definetly going to check the place out. Again thank you.
If you go to Wakodahatchee , make sure to hit Green Cay as well.

It's bigger and has a nature center. Wako is better for photography in my opinion.
