My husband and I are going to take the first week in May to visit St. Augustine. We will be going to the Aligator Farm, but does anyone have any other suggestions of places to visit or a guide that could escort us to some great wildlife photography that is close by? I have been searching on line, but have not had much success. Thank you in advance for any suggestions! :wavey:

The alligator farm should take several days. The rookery there is amazing. Be sure to get there as early as possible; the only downside is elbow to elbow photographers. I don't have particulars of any place in the vicinity, but you might be interested in buying the Audubon guide: http://www.amazon.com/National-Audubon-Society-Field-Florida/dp/067944677X/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_c

Carlette,
I am based in Jacksonville and frequently conduct workshops around Jacksonville including St. Augustine. If after viewing my website you think I can be of service, by all means drop me a line. www.johnreedphoto.com

Drive a little way South to Melbourne / Viera Wet lands. Arrive early for the best opportunity to catch Birds. I have seen, Bald Eagles Cracara, Ibis, glossy Ibis Egrets, Herons, King Fisher, Ducks Spoon bill. Plus if you get there first you might see the otters. Pink Dragon flies, Gators, Soft shell turtles just to list a few.
