I drove to Yosemite just ahead of the latest storm. First sunset shoot there were just a few clouds, no snow on the ground. I woke up to a white out snow storm with about three inches of snow on the ground. In the afternoon the snow turned to rain. The sky remained grey all day, either with snow or rain. The next day it rained off and on all day. I tried Tunnel View for sunrise and it was totally socked in with clouds/heavy fog, plus an incredibly bright light from where they are doing the highway work where the slide happened. Later that morning (9:06) I managed to get this shot of the falls, which was the best sky/lighting conditions of the trip. That evening tried to shoot Half Dome down by the river near the Parking Lot for the Village, but it was mostly fogged in. The storm broke during the night and the sky was totally clear for sunrise at Tunnel View. The most amazing part of the trip was leaving Yosemite where it is winter and driving for two hours and being in the Central Valley where it is warm and driving past acre after acre of blossoming almond trees.

Tony, thanks for the TR. I like the image, the diagonal lines are very strong. I might bring the midtones down a little.
I've been keeping my eye out for weekends after a storm in Yosemite this winter, but it's been hard. I can only recall two storms with mentioning this year.
