Is it possible to use L-bracket with this kind of ballhead?

My Kirk Enterprises L-bracket only works with Arca-Swiss quick release heads similar to the one in this ad: http://kirkphoto.com/ballheads.html .

As long as you also purchase a quick release clamp with a threaded hole to attached to your ballhead. See http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/clamps/index.html . I don't read German but it looks like the 3/8" threaded hole should work for you. If so, the B2 LR II should do the trick (or the B2-Pro if you want to spend a little less).

Actually the Kirk bracket has both an Arca-style plate and threaded socket so it can be screwed onto generic tripod heads. You can see it in the pictures on their site:

The Arca-style plate is much more convenient so I would also recomment a clamp. The best one I have used so far is the "double speed" one made by Acratech:

Guy,

The Kirk bracket is only threaded on one side which defeats the purpose of having an L-bracket. You can only flip it from landscape to portrait orientation if you are using an arca style qr clamp.
