River otter
Perseverance pays off. Have been seeing this otter in a ditch on the way to work most mornings for a couple weeks, mostly just a flash and splash. This morning it was in a different place but pretty active. I shot some at about 50 yards and pretty dark, after getting at least a couple that would show I was not just telling a tall tale, I started to stalk. I finally cut the distance in half when it realised that I was there and started tword me to see what I was. I caught a couple decent images before it dove. The eagles were not as cooperative today.
Olympus E5 Sigma 50-500mm @1000 eq f8 1/400 iso1000 I did tweek it a bit in elements to brighten a tad.

Nice catch, Kendall! As fast as they can move, you have to be ready when they show up.

Nice catch is right. Like the reflection and the ripple on the bottom
