Rare Woodland Pixie
Folks,

Here's something you just don't see every day, the rare Smoky Mountain pixie.

Well, maybe you do if you're driving through Cherokee...

Not exactly nature, but something that's a landmark - been there as long as I can remember, which is less and less as I get older. I was scouting some sycamores along the Oconaluftee near here and decided I should make an image.

Shot on 5x7 Ilford FP4+ with a single-coated Fujinon 180mm lens and developed in PMK pyro, which incredibly held some detail in the bright overcast sky that was about 50 stops brighter than the pavement.

Cheers, Steve

Cool. I like the production a lot.

That's interesting, Steve. I've never seen a pixie before.
