Carrizo Phacelia
With spring around the corner, here is one from a couple of years ago at Carrizo Plain. If we don't get some snow and rain, it could be a bust this year for spring flowers.

A very expansive and lovely meadow of wildflowers. The Carrizo Plain is one of my favorite
destinations for spring flowers. I too hope that we get the right weather conditions for a
good spring wildflower season; however, I think that not only the right amount of water is
necessary but also the spacing of it during the winter is important.

Harley, this is a really nice view that someone could take in for a long time. I've never been to this location but I sure enjoy seeing wonderful shots like this one to at least let my mind travel there.

I wasn't lucky enough to see such a glorious profusion of wildflowers here last spring. The weeds choked out all the flowers due to the heavy rains. Maybe this year we'll have just enough. I like the pano crop and the hills fading out in the distance. :toast:
