This photograph was made in late December looking north-west from my deck. I liked the tracery of branches in their winter time nakedness against the canyon wall and the sky.

Most of my work lately has been centered around a project making photographs of details of the 1850's buildings in Columbia, so I haven't done much landscape work.

You can see a few of those detail shots in the NPN POP forum

Your thoughts are always appreciated.

Gorgeous view from your deck. Rumor has it you have a big deck. It is a grand tree.

I have definitely been enjoying your Columbia buildings posts over at POP.

That's quite a nice view from your deck. I really like the structure in the tree and how it stands out against the background.

The detail in the branches is very nice. I really like how the tree rises out of the colorful foreground shrubs and displays against the muted layers of the background.

WOW, what a great view from your deck, Preston. Excellent detail in the bare branches right down to the smallest stems too.
