Stopped by the L&D last week and they were working on something and had blocked access to the viewing platform and parking lot no vehicles or pedestrian trafic. Went back today and it is still closed, called them and found out it will be closed for most of the Winter. The boat ramp and rest of the area is still open and there are some eagles in the area. The walleye fishermen out till the river blocks, and that may be a while with this warm weather. Caught this one today, and several in trees within range.

Great shot. we were at Lock 13 this past weekend and there were a lot but they were not fishing and they were so far away. In 3 weeks we will try Lock 14. We went there last year and there were about 25 in good range. We just got to wait for it to freeze more.
Good Luck!

Nice capture. I was wondering what things were like at the dams. With the nice weather I thought of driving down along the river but things have been so warm I fear the birds are not congregating like they would if the river was frozen.
