My most recent trip to Ohio included a trip to North Chagrin Reservation. I'll be going back in late Oct. and maybe in the spring if anyone else is interested. I'll post a topic a few weeks in advance. It would be nice to meet folks and this site is great. Here's one of the hundreds of shots that I got in late Oct. of last year.
Nice job. I like the way you were able to match up the color of the reflections with the color of the bird. I was out your way a couple of times this year. I spent a week with my wife in Marlinton around the 4th of July. Then spent a couple of weeks in October. One week at Dolly Sods and the surrounding area, followed by a week back in Marlinton. I've never posted any pictures from WV, but I may have to. Never saw anyone from West Virginia on the forum before.
Nice catch. There is just something about a drake woodie.Great reflection.

Thanks for the comments. George - hope you enjoyed your time in my stomping grounds. Did you make it out to the Cranberry Glades? - nice time for grass pink and snake mouth orchids in early july. If you're coming back drop me an email.

This has always been a favorite species of mine and you've done wonderfully to capture it. Wonderful detail on the side and that reflection puts this over the top!
Beautiful capture. Nice fall reflections in the water. The only thing that would improve it would have been a little calmer water which would make for a more crisp reflection.
