I have just talked to a gallery owner in Augusta GA about hanging some of my framed prints. They work on a month to month (no contract), $50 a month cost plus 10%. What is everyone's thoughts on this. They have several photographers showing. As this would be my first venture, I don't know what the traffic or sales records of this gallery are.

On the surface, $50/month and only 10%(off any purchased work I assume) sounds like a pretty good deal. Most galleries are in the 40-60% range. As far as traffic and sales records, there's no harm in asking the owner/manager. If you don't sell a print, you're only out $50. I'd certainly consider the deal. Now if you have to go out and fork up printing and framing costs for the deal you'll want to be pretty selective. If you already have framed prints it will be an easier decision. Good luck!
