Pretty boring here at the Shenandoah NP, temps ranging in the 50's during the day, just freezing at night, no ice to be seen, little precipitation. The water is running well in the streams and rivers, but not excessively. Please send some snow and freezing temps this way, if you can :)

For any of you looking for winter conditions in and around GSMNP - the Mt LeConte Blog updated almost daily by their winter caretaker has been a useful tool for covering conditions at higher elevations...

Still waiting for winter to make up its mind and 'set in'....

So, where exactly are those winter conditions? It's February second, sunny, and 63 degrees in Knoxpatch. My crocuses have been up a few days, and my jonquils are really trying.

This is not good...

Except for sheet rocking my garage which I am doing.

Cheers, Steve

No winter conditions this year. I was at Pine Mountain State Park last weekend and it was more like March. There was even good water flow in the creeks. Colorado is getting hammered today so maybe there is still hope for some snow here.

No better here in virginia. Shot all that snow first days of october. Not a flake since! Will be very interesting to see how spring colors, flowers, plays out.
