This past weekend my wife and I made a business trip to Duluth. It just happened that it coincided with the full moon. We decided to splurge and stay and one of the Canal Park motels so we could easily photograph the moonrise and sunrise. As it turned out the moon was covered by clouds but the sunrise over the harbor was spectacular.
Caught some great shots, nice color. I like #8,#9 on the blog page.

Very nice Phil. A beautiful sunrise! I was at Split Rock for the full Moon last Thur night. They turned the light on but it was so cloudy we never saw the moon (which was suppose to be lined up with the lighthouse). Friday morning was a beautiful sunrise however. Nice capture!

Hi phil: i like the image. i really like reflrctions and the light on the water is nice. What do you think about possibly cropping away the bottom part of the image just below the light reflection? I wonder if that would emphasize the colorful sky even more?
