I can't believe it! Snow in southern NH tonight and it is sticking not only on the grass but roadways too! I can't remember when it snowed this early in New England.

Welcome to my season, Eva. I've had snow on my mountain for the past two weeks. It's beautiful

A view..... Not much snow but still snow......

Yes it is beautiful Nancy. I just can't remember the last time I saw snow this early in southern New England. Hope it is not a harbenger of things to come.

Welcome to a winter wonderland and lots of opportunities for great images!
On the other hand, here, your sister(in the town next door) and I are enjoying 70 degree perfect fall weather!
Enjoy - I'd like to be there.... for about 48 hours..

Heavy wet snow predicted for Satuday evening as well..... 6 inches. The trees still have leaves on them so that can be a mess with downed power lines.

Let the winter fun begin!

We even had snow sticking down here in RI, looks like it will be an interesting winter. 4-6 inches wet heavy stuff predicted Sat night too for us. Ah winter, as I get older I don't like it as much as I used to.

Sounds like November of 1977 when I first moved to NH. Never saw the ground again until late March.
I loved it then, but the South feels better today.

Yep, 70 degrees here in the Sierra Foothills under a bluebird sky. Snow in the NE. That's the jet stream for ya!

We're actually looking at a pattern change late next week for NorCal--we'll see.

Strange year, for sure!

Hi Eva, we're on the very southern edge of this storm in DC. Seeing a few snowflakes now, but they're not sticking. The forecast calls for an inch on the grassy areas today (Sat.). I sure hope it doesn't pull down all the leaves, I've got a shot that I'd like to redo as soon as we get some sunshine and hoping that I don't have to wait for next year...by then I'll probably forget...

I'm visiting my brother in southeastern Pennsylvania. It's snowing like crazy! I haven't seen snow fall in 25 years and I'm loving it - that is, until we have to drive to the Philadelphia airport tomorrow...

Just talked with my cousin in Boston; he says an early major snowstorm is descending on you East Coasters - stay warm and safe!

We've had a couple of inches of very heavy wet snow so far today. I'm near the coast so it has been a mix of snow and rain. My beautiful magnolia tree split down the middle from the weight. I understand from the news casts that many thousands are without power surrounding us, so I consider myself lucky so far. Suppose to snow the rest of the night so we'll see how we stand in the a.m.
