I have just gone through my last batch of antique white rag mat board. I am pretty pleased with this color, but am interested in what else is out there. So, what shade of white is your favorite for matting? I am interested in suggestions and recommendations, as I will need to order another batch of matting sheets.

For B&W images, I use Bright White; for color images, i usually use complementary color mats.

I use bright white for B/W and black and antique white. I stick to those 3.

Lately I use 100% cotton rag museum board so the choices are limited to white and a light cream. Some outlets carry shades of tan, grey and black but they are hard to get around here so I generally use white but sometimes cream with warmer hued images in natural wood frames. I use buffered mat board at the request of a customer an try to key the color off the the colors in the image. Printing on speculation I find that white is the safest choice in terms of customer response.
