This was shot earlier this week at Gile Flowage just outside Hurley, Wisconsin. The fall colors are at their peak in the Hurley/Ironwood area. This is a great place to photograph because you can photograph the sun rising from the east and turn around and photograph the early light on the fall foliage.
On Monday we drove from Hurley, Wisconsin to Superior checking out the fall colors. From Superior we drove up along the Minnesota North shore to Grand Marais.
